Voter Registration Drive in Antoine Neighborhood

In celebrating National Voter Registration Day (9/17), the Asian Americans Leadership Council and Acres of Angels collaborated to organize a voter registration drive in the Antoine neighborhood on 9/14, from 11 am to 2:00 pm. After voter training, with a shared vision of empowerment, volunteers from both communities united to make a positive impact and promote civic engagement.

A heartfelt thanks to Daniel, a dedicated 15-year-old tenth grader, his mother, Dr. Chen, and Dr. Shixia Huang, who traveled over an hour to participate in this event. Their passion, dedication, and commitment to making a positive impact on American democracy were truly inspiring. Daniel’s perseverance, even while feeling under the weather, deeply touched everyone present.

A special thank you to Ms. Edna Griggs, President of Acres of Angels, for hosting this voter drive alongside AALC. I firmly believe that when our two AA communities come together, we are stronger than ever. It was a joy to collaborate with our African American brothers and sisters, and we look forward to doing even more together in the future.

Voters will define the 2024 election, decide the future of this country, and determine the future of your generation and the next generations. If you want to be heard, register to vote!
